My Answer would be YES!!. if i was the driver of the hearse , i would't be unloading that corpse in a box by myself. and yes, even without the help, it's justifiable that there's multiple occupants present in that motor vehicle.
I will say no, he is not a breathing human being. In College, (how come all the good stories start that way) I had a frat brother who would use a blow up doll as a "second" person in the vehicle to use the HOV lane to get into Boston, he was sited and he fought the ticket. At the hearing the judge said it has to be a Breathing human being not just an occupant.
This is no joke either, Iwill see if I can find the picture from the hearing, he even brought the blow up doll with him as evidence.

What're you worried about???? You're from Utah!!!!! You can have multiple corpses riding with you - doesn't matter. Now...............if you have two or three WIVES in the Jeep.....:shock::shock::shock:......then you're probably gonna have some problems with the law!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

You forgot to mention "legally"! As to that, I haven't a clue - just another reason I'm glad I'm NOT in law enforcement.

Of corpse you can! Especially if you're dead certain the person whom you are transporting has deceased to exist. Personally I wouldn't be caught dead in the carpool lane.
So...if I should kick-the-bucket..or bite-the-dust..or have a coffin attack....just let me Rest-In-Peace.
