Secret Lives

I'll play.

I'm a full-time student, in an RN/PA (PA = Physician Assistant) program. Hardest thing I've ever endeavored to do in my life. I could work as an RN now, but if I did so, it would have to be an ideal situation due to time constraints. (I'd want to work emergency)

A "PA" is not to be confused with an "MA". A PA is a Master's degree, and does everything an MD does (for the most part) but needs a doc's signature at the end of the day. I'll be able to prescribe meds, write orders, etc. (No UTAH, I won't write you a Viagra order)

But I'm thinking of foregoing the PA portion of the program and going into Radiation Therapy. Just interviewed, we'll see.

For money, I'm currently a Bartender and Barista at a Coffee Bar in Downtown Denver.

I haven't been on here in a LONG time.. I was doing some catching up and saw this thread. I was torn as to whether or not I should post my "job". If you all solemnly swear to never, EVER tell another living soul I will post it here.
There aren't many people who actually know that this job really exists, but I can assure you that it does.
Late at night, between the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., I stop at a highly classified location to pick up my nightly "parcel". I then drive along desolate roads and highways tossing out miscellaneous sneakers and shoes to the roadside. It doesn't pay much, but it puts some food on the table.

See? I know you have always wondered where in the HECK those come from. Now you know.

Wait a minute, what agency do you work for? I've also got a part-time gig doing the same thing, except my route only includes power lines and traffic lights. I strictly work the urban areas...nice to meet a fellow sneaker-tosser.

Some of my best work:

Wow! You must have been on staff for quite a while. I haven't worked there too long. They did tell me that if I didn't miss any days during my 60 days probation period , that they would promote me to the "Power Lines and Traffic Signals" division. I have roughly 13 days to go.. keep your fingers crossed!
