scrambler hard top

I have a 1984 scrambler and believe it or not i am mechanical, but i have not figured out how to take the hard top off :?: any and all help would be appreciated. thanks!

It's gotta be the same as a 7... There should be 4-5 bolts on each side holding the top to the tub and a few screws in the top where it meets the windshield. Undo 'em, lift.

it is not the same as a 7 because you have seat belts to remove and also there are no visible bots to take out. thanks

I don't think that the seat belts should not be attached to the hard top. They should be attached to the floor and roll bar, if they are the over the shoulder type.

Right, but the bolt goes through the top and then into the roll bar. There are some rubber bushings between the top and the roll bar and the bolt just goes all the way through there. Sorry, but the tops never been off dads scrambler so I don't know how to do it. Ask your question at www.cj8.com.......
