S.Y.E. question

Ok so as I understand it if you use a 6" lift kit you need a S.Y.E. (slip yolk eliminator) when you use this it says you need a longer drive shaft, are there any drive shafts off of another vehicle that will fit? Or does it have to be custom made? Also with a 6" lift do you need a different front drive shaft?

Thanks Jon

I would say you will need 2 new shafts with that much lift... you'll be buying new ones the proper length...

Nahhhh.. 6" is good. Cherokees don't lift as easily as other jeeps. Are you planning on running 35's?

I read somewhere you can use a TJ front driveshaft as a rear. Not sure if it would work (kinda doubt it), but it's worth aksing everyone about.

i cant get ofoto to work right...help

With a SYE you will need a CV style drive shaft. The SYE makes the output fixed, therefore no movement is allowed. You put a standard shaft on it and it will rip at the Ujoints or the SYE.

The CV is like the front DS, it allows travel.
