Considering doing a springs over axle conversion on my 95 YJ. When I bought it a few months ago it was completely stock (I know a stock 95 I must be kidding) but I'm not. Looking for pro's and con's to the soa from just jacking it up. Also bolton to weldon. Thanks all input is helpful thank you

I was where you are at some years ago. For me, a regular spring lift kit was the final decision. SOA is not a simple or cheap alternative. And yes, it gives you great flex, but it also introduces other problems, like spring flex. I just went with regular springs and a U bolt reversal kit to remove as much as possible things taht would get me hung up...

I just think a spring lift kit is simpler, and the extra flex is just not worth all the effort and fabbing that a properly done SOA will require. People think SOA is cheaper than a pring lift, but if you want to do it properly, it is not... It WILL give you more flex and keep the ride stock like (spring lift makes it a bit harsher because of the arch, but still very tolerable for a DD if you go with a quality system).
