rpm's rev up&down

My 93 GCL 5.2 v8 aw4x4 is driving me crazy. The t.case np249 don't know what trans is in it.I know it's knot the aw4x4think it is42re.My rpm's race up&down then stay in the right spot for a couple miles and do it all over agian. New trans filter,iac,map,tps, trans fluid is good. Only after first gear and holding gas pedal still. Some times with cruise control on this will turn the cruise control off.Any one know what could be doing this.Any thoughts or ideas please help.Is it the trany.

only while driving and holding pedal steady.shifts perfect

could be wrong could be right these things are known for bad ecm's and bad trans modules if you think it might be the trans have you tried a new trans mod.
