Rio Grande?

just a quick question,
My jeep claims to be a Rio Grande, yet it does not have the rio grande sticker that is commonly seen on the back of the jeep nor does it have the color or anything that the rio grandes have. Any clue if it is common for the jeep not to have these features?

Couple of cues to tell is it truely is a rio grande.

they only came in a couple colors that were not available with other packages.

the interiors were also significant to the rio grande, it would be tan with upgraded seats.

The rio grande was the same package as the sahara but with a 4 cyl and different colors/sticker package.

some pics of your jeep and interior would help in making the determination.

as you can tell everything looks like an ordinary jeep. No stickers. simple black exterior. Interior is gray with the gray dash. No sign of rio grande anywhere except the paperwork

That is not a rio grande, if it was, someone put a lot of effort into making it not look like a rio grande, new fender flares, dash, interior, exterior paint, decals..

What "Paper Work" are you referencing.. a trace of the vin will tell you exactly what it is.

I wonder if someone swapped vin number on that jeep. I've done it, heck, back in the day I had a yj that was titled and vinned as a CJ to avoid emissions.
