I am looking to change the gears in my jeep, I also want to add a spool or locker to the rear diff, if I decide to take it to a shop to have it done what can I expect to pay in labor, I can get a ball park on the parts but I have no clue what the labor would be, I dont have the tools to do it myself, any ideas on how to cut costs on the install would be appreciated

Depends a lot on where you're located, and what type of shop you take it to. Could run from $200 per axle at a race shop that does gears all the time, to $500+ per axle at the stealership. There's a few mechanics around here that setup gears on the side for $150 per axle, that's the way to go.

you will surely want to find an independent local shop... nothign corporate, and no dealership... they range, like bounty said, from about 150 to 250 per axle.. if you can find better, DO IT
