Hey how do you reset your codes w/o using a computer checker...like is there a way to reset them by just using the odometer or something? like theres teh trick you can on off on off on to get the codes i need a way to get rid of the codes

transmission ?

Disconnecting the battery for 15min. should reset any stored trouble codes. If the check engine light comes back on, you've got a problem.

if not just disconnect over night. Don't get upset the next morning when you can't crank it . . because you gorgot to re-connect the battery.

Will NOT work on an OBD-II compliant ('95-newer) computer system. Your Jeep is OBD-II. There is NO way to clear the codes without using an OBD-II compatible scanner. So it doesn't matter how long the battery is unplugged, the codes will still be in memory.

FYI, On the OBD-I compliant (pre '95) systems, disconnecting the battery usually works.

Also, if you have any codes, they are being reported because you have a problem. Choosing to ignore them won't do the Jeep any good
