Replacing A/C & Heater control unit.

How difficult is it to replace the a/c & heater control unit in a 86 cherokee?

i do have some mechanical ability but have never worked on a jeep before.(mainly jap cars).please say it's just acouple screws and doesn't involve taking dash half apart..

any info would be appreciated,Thanks in advance..
