Repair or replace front seat restraints?

I have a '97 Wrangler Sport. My front passenger seat belt wont retract on its own anymore. Can it be repaired or will I need to replace it? It will wind up if I push belt in manually. If any one knows, please let me know. The replacement for is kind of expensive. Thanks

Try some wd-40 or some type of lubricating oil.Sounds like the springs are sticking.Make sure the lock still works by jerking on the belt.Id the lock does not work I would replace it.The cost is well worth some ones life.
