Regrets!

My name is Will and I'm on a mission. A buddy of mine traded his RED 1982 CJ5 to Landmark Ford (Tigard, Oregon) in 2002 for his current truck and has regretted that decision ever since. He heard that an employee of the dealership bought it, but the tracks got cold after that. Unfortunately my buddy doesn't have any documents linking vin numbers or anything like that. It has the standard diamond plate corner guards, due to a rear end incident, also hard and bikini tops. There are a few key items that might make it stand out, like custom made front seats, channeled rear bumper and a custom made wooden drawer that slides out underneath the rear seats. If you've ever sold a vehicle that was a part of you then you know how this man feels. I'm posting on several Jeep and off-road forums to spread the word. Any clues and/or advise would be most appreciated. Thanks for you time -Dude

I know the pain, it sucks. It's about as bad as breaking up with a well loved girl friend, takes a long time to heal.

You might try stopping by the dealership & asking around to see if the guy still works there....if so he may have some info,if not someone may know where you can find him etc. Keep in mind that's a few years ago & you're talking about a now 32yr old vehicle.........the Jeep may be(dare I say) gone to the big trail ride in the sky. Hope not....good luck in your search & let us know what you find.
