When i was driving back from Garner the other day when my clutch slave cylinder went out. i couldn't get it into reverse so I had to do tight u turns to turn around. when I would to it the rearend would lock up and drag. I thought it was the breaks but I could hear metal stressing like it was going to pop. My friends and I couldn't figure it out. I thought it might be out of fluid but I'm not sure. anyone had a similar problem??[addsig]

i'd say get the case cover off and see whats up... remove the spider gears of needed, and see if it frees anything up

I just went through the hassle of replaceing a rearend in my YJ. It was very costly, so pick through it with a fine comb, hopefully it is nothing serious. Good luck.[addsig]

ya right now I can buy that ford 9" i was talking about but I don't really wanna go to all the trouble of cutting it down and stuff. [addsig]

you can put it on and then always get it cut down at a later time... but remember... cutting the axle tube is not the hard part... the axle shafts are the tricky part, unless you can find short shafts already[addsig]

you could always go with the 8.8...same bolt pattern, roughly the same size ( 1/2 inch shorter) and much stronger then the D35c. disc brakes in 95+ exploers too :-) [addsig]

Is it on a Yj I had that problem and it ended up being my
emergency brake that messed up in the brakes ...and
it sounded like it was breaking metal/ stressing.... :-D [addsig]
