On a Yj can you remove this without any
problems??? It is the bar that goes diagonally
across from the drivers side (UP HIGH) to the
passenger side (DOWN LOW) and it is the bar that
runs the width of the axle.... :-? :-? :-? [addsig]

It is the most worthless item on your jeep! I took mine off it helped with rear flex and there is not a down side to my knowledge. I was slow to do this mod but glad I did. Now I have this track bar laying around guess I need to pitch it in the scrape pile. Tug[addsig]

It's the rear track bar (panhard bar to be exact). Not needed on a YJ, you shouldn't notice a difference when driving it on the street with it removed. Many also remove the front swaybar, I did years ago. Keep the front track bar.[addsig]

I took mine off right after I lifted my YJ and I noticed a difference in the handling on road big time. The rear end seamed to be a bit sloppy while going through an accelerating corner. (Although my commute is on some real curvy roads.) I just made a quick disconnect for the front and rear with a cotter pin, washers. I also junked the rear extension bracket (skyjacker) and found one for axles with shims from southwest 4X4 for real short money!

Take it out, if it is not your cup of tea put it back. only two bolts and if you PB Blaster it a few times a day for a few days it will be an ez deal. I have had no adverse effect with the removal of mine. It is just in the way now laying at the auction house and I hate to pitch it. Tug
