rear mainshaft bushing on np231

RE: Which one?

What year Wrangler?

Are you talking about the rear output seal? If it's on a YJ it's easy to pry out once you remove the driveshaft yoke. You don't need to remove the tailcone unless you really want to, maybe to replace the seal on the bench.

RE: Going newer... Got Questions.

year = 91, and no I'm not talking about the seal, its the bushing inside the "cone". I have the part purchased but have not taken the "cone" off yet. Sometime this weekend it will becoming off for replacement. I do not know if it just "sits" in there or is pressed in or what. Just trying to cover the bases incase I something special to remove it. Thanks.

I'd guess it's a press fit, never had to remove or install the bushing. Just trying to help
