Rear ends

I currently have a 78 CJ 5, and I am looking to swap the axles so that they are a little wider. I want to find something off of a CJ 7, so the question is: Should I wait until I find Dana 44's or would it be a good idea to get just a Dana 20 or 35 rear and Dana 30 front, off of a Tj. Regardless of which way I go, I will change the gears and install lockers.

get the Model 20. Just change over the 2 piece axle shafts to a 1 piece.

It also depends on what kind of driving you plan on doing.[addsig]

I would be mostly driving on the streets but some off roading(75%-25%). I have the original straight six 258, completely rebuilt. I want to put at least 33's tires, but maybe 35's. I plan to later move the back axle back and re-weld everything so that it will work (hopefully with my uncles help). That way the wheelbase will be longer, and I plan to cut the back fenders. So anyways, I hope this info helps, I appreciate your guy's time.[addsig]
