Radaitors!!

hey guys...my radiator needs to be replaced and i was wondering if the radiator from the 4.0 liter will fit on the 2.5 or will i have to change mounts? also, the jeep was offered with an transmission radiator...how would one put that in?

By transmission radiator, do you mean an external transmission cooler?

The 4.0L radiator from a similar model jeep should bolt right in, major differences are number of rows and if it had a built-in transmission cooler or not.

the difference of a radiator with the transmission cooler should be it has 2 holes at the bottom for trans fluid to enter/exit. It would work fine even if you don't have a transmission cooler, just cap the holes.

awesome...its pretty obvious what holes they would be right? and i don't have lines for my transmission...and im having trouble with what looks like air dams...i call them air dams cause they make it so the air has to pass through the radiator...also...the fan seems to be WAY farther back because where the 4.0L radiator is mounted is closer to the bumper...will that be the problem?

wow...so many things going wrong with my cooling system...first i got the radiator...it was off an 88 that didnt have the radiator cap...so i had to buy another...thats $80 already...then i had to buy new hoses and clamps...another $25...and now, after test driving, the coolant pours out...turns out now that i also need a water pump...so i am slowly replacing EVERYTHING...the only thing that can happen now is that a mole crawl up into the coolant system and die...
