Question about tires.

Bought a grand cherokee limited back in 2005 still driving it, great vehicle. Been all over. I'm pushing close to 200k and in its later life want to finally put considerably bigger tires on. I've been riding on Dynapro at2 255/65 R17s for as long as I can remember. I'd like to put it on something like a LT 285/75 R16. If that is possible what is the cheapest and best way to do so? I figured a 2 inch lift and offset wheel and of course new struts. I currently have the bilstein b6.

You are going from a 30 in diameter 10 in wide to a 33 in diameter 11.5 wide tire.

Are you planning on off-roading or street daily driver?

Thanks for the reply. It's a daily driver with frequent minimal offroad and overland. No rock crawling or anything like that. Just wanting a bit more clearance and easier maintenance access.

Have you tried to check out classified ads on the internet? I don't that someone from this community will sell or give it out if they are still using it.
