Question about bigger tires.

I recently put 31's on my TJ and I know that in changing the tire size that the speedometer will not read accurately anymore. My question is... Does changing the tire size affect the odometer reading? :D
Thanks Jeepers!
It's time to go topless today! It's 80 degrees and sunny in Chicago!!!

Yes, it will affect your odometer the same ammount it affects your speedeometer. If you go fast enough to turn your speedometer 60mph for one hour then you will add 60 miles to your odometer.

There is a percentage difference in tire height, say tire size increased by 10%. Your speedo will read 10% slower at a given speed, and mileage will accrue 10% slower. Using 10% as an example, the odometer will register 9 miles for every 10 miles actually driven.

This percentage differs depending on stock tire size and the new tire size.

Anybody know what the gear ratio is on a stock YJ? I want to do the calc's but i don't know theratio.
Mike

Stock ratio on a fuel injected 4.0 6cyl is 3.07 unfortunately... I have the same thing... only a 91.
