Problem with the windshield wipers

So i just folded down the windshield for the first time on my 98 tj and it was a lot of fun and funny to see everyone I passed staring at me. But now that it’s back up when I put the windshield wipers back on they don’t press into the window and just kind of hang a few millimeters away from the glass. I need to fix this before the rain starts back up so if anyone has some advice I’d love to hear it.

I never flipped the windshield down before. So I'd have to ask. Do you have to remove the wiper arms? If so is it possible you didn't seat them back onto the splined shaft on the link?
If you didn't remove... Did they bend?

Pics of the wiper and where it connects to the link would be helpful.

Yes you do have to remove them and that is possible as the clips would not lock back in but I’m soaking them in wd40 so hopefully I will be more successful tomorrow

Sometimes you need to pull back on the arm to unlock the clips.
