Power Locks

My 94' Grnd Cherokee's power locks just stopped working. The keyless fob does not open/close locks. I know it's not the fob battery because when I use the button on any of the doors nothing happens. I've checked the fuse and all is ok (all other functions that use the fuse are working normally). I'm reduced to using my key to open the drivers door then reaching to the back doors to open them. Anyone have any ideas? :-? [addsig]

those door locks are controlled by relays, most likely one of them is burn out... a buddy of mine has a '94 GC and had similar problems.[addsig]

Check the fuse as well. Also if the wires at any one of the switches is cut or loose, none of the locks will work. Dingus those relays your talkin about for the locks are also directly tied into the crash sensor under the dash. Jeep GC's are one of the few cars that is you plug it into a computer, it will error code for the locks and tell you what is wrong. I am not sure if 94 or 95 was the first year for this, but I know it is the model with the newer style ZJ dash. If you do have this dash check to see if there is, I think, a yellow/black and purple/white wires coming out of the crash sensor. those are the wires that control the drivers locks and the other three doors, you might wanna check those to make sure they are OK.[addsig]

If one of the door lock switches, is stuck in the lock position. Nothing will work. Kids spilled some coke, in one of mine and it would periodically stick. Drove me nuts, until I finally figured it out.
It sounds a little nuts, but I had a battery with a dead cell. The car would start, though the starter would turn over a little slowly. The volt gauge showed normal to slightly high charge. The door locks became real iffy, but usually not all, just two or three.
The plug came a little loose at the master door panel (drivers door) the drivers lock would work, but none of the rest. All the windows stopped working also. Aftermath of a sterio/speaker upgrade.

I've concluded that the door switches are not stuck in one position. Before I start ripping door panels off could someone tell me the location of the relay(s) involved with activating the door locks? I think this may be the problem and would like to verify that there is no problem here before I dig into anything else. I would think the first place to look would be under the dashboard but could anyone give me a little advice where to start. Thanks.[addsig]

the relays on my '90 XJ are located in the passenger side kick-panel along the floor. if you go online, you can probably find someone with a similar jeep to yours and find out where they are, you just gotta find the right person.[addsig]

Don´t know where the fuse block is located in the WJ, but on the XJ many have them on the firewall (inside) just above where your left foot normally rests. There are some circuit breakers in the fuse block, that when kicked can come loose, one of these controls the power seats and door locks and another the rear window wiper.[addsig]
