po441 - ? what now?

I had a check engine light come on. I read it p0441 and erased it.
It comes back in a few days.

P0441 (M) Evap Purge Flow Monitor Insufficient or excessive vapor flow detected during evaporative emission system operation.

What does that mean. I need a new PVC valve. A new gas cap or what.

Where do you start on this one.

Any Ideas greatly appreciated.

I don't know about this system to really give any help, but I just looked this up on alldatapro.com for the 2004 Rubi for you. It looks like it means there is either damage to your evaporator canister or hoses, or the "evap purge solenoid" does not have a proper vacuum supply or is bad.

Make sure the fuel cap is on tight, if that doesn't work try a different fuel cap. For starters.

Thanks for the info. I replaced my fender and messed with that box under the batery. I have to check every thing again. then maybe change the gas tank first. Thanks for lookin that up jay79cj7.

something in the residual fuel line to or from the evap canister or if your lucky a faulty or loose gas cap.

The newer the jeep the more complex - rediculusly simple things like that are, and worse when you get a problem.
