Once in a Blue Moon.....

Look to the sky tonight to see a phenomenon that only comes around once every few years.

Today will mark the second full moon in the same month, making it a "blue moon." (For the Eastern Hemisphere, the blue moon occurred in May.)

The last blue moon was July 31, 2004, and the next one will come around in December 2009. Rarely are there two blue moons in one year. The last one was in 1999, and the next one isn't slated until 2018, according to Sky and Telescope magazine.

I remember the two Blue Moons of '99. Some doomsday folk were saying the world would end at the 2nd Blue Moon instead of at midnight on December 31st, 1999.

Blue moon of Kentucky keep on a shine...in'.....:purple: :purple:

Gosh, It's been so long since I seen that movie I'm not sure which scene you are asking about.

you know, the K-Car is a burnt heap and they are driving it down the freeway in the freezing cold singing "Blue Moon of Kentucky" when the Highway Patrol pulls them over...
