oil gauge

I have a strange issue with my oil pressure gauge that's been going on for a while. When engine is cold it shows pressure, after it warms up goes to zero. I can rev the motor and it will go up. Its basically all or nothing. I have replaced the sender and the gauge, and made sure the sender is for a gauge, and checked all grounding points. Can't figure it out. 79cj7
Any suggestions?

I had issues like that in my last TJ. I just bought an aftermarket true pressure gauge. A lot more accurate than the electronic nonsense that does not seem to work.

Step 1 using a mechanical gauge check the true pressure. @50psi at 2k rpm.

We will know where to go repair wise then - electrical or mechanical.

A common tool, might be a loaner at auto part stores.
