OFFSET/ BACKSPACING QUESTION

OK...I've decided that Im gettin the 4 linch lift, 10inch wide wheels 12.50 wide tires...on 15s. What offset should I get and what the hell is the factory's offset for Jeep's 9.5in wide wheel? they say to stay as close as you can to factory right? Need help. Thanks

4.5 offset ..... if you are going to do any serious wheeling that calls for you to air down, you'll want to go with 8" rims for your 12.5" tires. 10" rims don't provide enough protection for the bead and it will break the beads.[addsig]

Yo raven, what do u mean about the beads? My issue is that I want the wheels to stick ot enough so I'm not too top heavy. ? Could you elaborate more on the difference between 10" and 8" wide wheels?[addsig]

The bead is what seals the tire to the rim. With 8" rims, when you air down, the tire itself basically protects the rim. The wider the rim, the more the tire is "ballooned" on the rim, therefore giving less tire to protect the rim and spinning the bead loose. If you don't do any rock crawling, I wouldn't worry about it. People air down to give them a better grip on the rocks, and less chance of a sidewall puncture. If you are going for looks alone, go with the 10's.[addsig]
