Hey guys, I have a '93 wrangler that's lifted and got 4:56 gears, how do I regear or fix my odometer gears. Cause I started drivin at the end ofthe summer and k had 84000 miles on it. Now in a little under half I year I have 90300 miles on it and there's no way i've put that many miles on it yet. I don't drive much except back and forth to school and work. Is there Any way I can fix this?

Let me know when you determine what speedo gear you need, I may have one. There's also an adjustable speedometer interface you can buy from Dakota Digital that makes the speedo infinitely adjustable on the fly for about $80.

Unless you go from 28" to 40", it's not gonna be a drastic increase (most likely, 10% or less). And going to a bigger tire size will actually show LESS miles, not more (speed will be less on the speedometer); one rotation of the tire will cover more distance... So if 28" requires one rotation per yard, a 35" tire will cover 1.2 yards for every rotation (numbers are fictional just to represent the point!). So you would actually need to INCREASE the miles on the odometer.
My advise: leave it as is and fix the gear so that your speed and miles from now on are correct.
