how much trans fluid does a jeep yj np-231 take? i put two quarts in when i had it on the bench but i think it takes more than that.Any one know for sure how much fluid to put in the np-231? thanks.

Fill it untill it starts comming out the fill plug. (same as diffs)
The fill plug, not the drain plug.
This would always be the same unless it has been indexed.

(if i had to guess 2-3 quarts )

i think it takes just over 2 quarts... mine takes more to come out of the hole because it is clocked differently
