No indicator lights

When I shift to 4wd the appropriate indicator in the gauge cluster does not illuminate. Also, the reverse lights do not work. Related issues or seperate?:???:

in my 99 XJ the reverse lights had an issue that was a ground wire not making a good connection... i also had an issue with more indicator lights... that was a connecting on the back of the cluster... I pulled it apart and cleaned it and everything worked great after that...

Thanks. I'll give that a try. Have a burnt dash bulb anyhow, so I guess I'll clean it up when I replace that.
