It's the MyGig -- a 20GB hard drive embedded in the dashboard for ripping CDs, storing navigation data and all sorts of other fun stuff -- including the necessary aux input. You'd expect this type of a system in a $40,000 luxury car -- but you can have this in the new $25,000 Chrysler Sebring -- as well as two other vehicles in the price range (the upcoming Dodge Nitro and the Jeep Wrangler)

Pretty cool.

Now thats being inovative. Darn Germans...

It's about time they did this. Hard drives are so small now I'm amazed it took this long. About 5 years ago my cousin had an older Ford Exploder that he mounted an old desktop pc in. He managed to get a 15" flat panel in the center console and had the audio hooked up thru his stereo. I never saw it, but he said it was pretty cool. Of course this is the guy who also put silver duct tape racing stripes on his first Honda Accord too!

i love the idea, but it will probably cost like 500 to 1000 bucks. I've seen this option on a lot of new cars. Another problem is that the upgraded stereos do not last as long as they should, but if you built one with aftermarket stuff they last awhile longer for cheaper

It's not a bad idea but I'm sure they'll charge out the nose for it, and a 20 gb non-portable drive is barely worth messing with anymore. It's kind of the equivalent of getting that sweet Gremlin hot off the line with the HI-FI quadraphony system complete with the 8 track, obsolete before you even hit the road.
