How to get more MPG out of a 4.0L?

my check engine light came on a while ago and i got it checked by my friend whos a mechanic...he said to come back 2 him if it came back on again it is a torque convertor code. Now sometimesit sounds like something is rubbing in the left rear wheel... i checked nothing.. Help me out whats next?Anyone have this happen 2 them b4?

What year and model Jeep? What was the code number, did your friend tell you?

There are no sensors in the rear part of the drivetrain, so the rubbing sound is not likely to be connected with the check engine light.

hmmmm got a torque converter code? i dont think taht jeeps even have codes for them but i may b wrong. iv had almopst every code possible for my jeep and never had a torque converter code
