New to forums, not new to Jeeps!

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum, but my family has had Jeeps for over 10 years now. I don't own one because I'm a poor college student that has to accept whatever vehicle her parents will give her (and Jeeps tend to have too high resell values around here when it comes to buying it for a college kid, I suppose).
The first car I buy for myself will definitely be a Jeep, then I'll need help from everyone here since I've not much knowledge about cars, but will definitely be doing a lot of customizing to mine.

I'm in NE Ohio, not a prestigious school worth mentioning. I just go to class there-I neither live there or associate with fellow college students.

No shame there - although I loved hanging out with other college kids... best 5 years of my life.

I'm not really into hanging out with college kids and doing "college" things. Never have been. I do notice that many have some really nice tricked out Jeeps though. Where do they get the money? Everyday in the parking lot I feel so inferior. I guess they can't all be too bad.

Thanks for the encouragement! I've got to go back to that area today, so I'm debating takining a detour and having a little look around the neighborhood. The only problem is that even if the guy would sell it, I have absolutely no money! My parents just bought me a new car in July (by new I mean a '99 sedan that probably cost the same amount we could buy the Jeep back for). I doubt the owner will want to trade cars though. I've probably lost my opportunity.
