New Mercedes-Benz S-Class will drive itself (sometimes)

The new 2014 Mercedes will include "Distronic Plus with Steering Assist and Stop&Go Pilot". This is a fancy way of saying that the car will do some of the driving for you...all for just $106,000

The cruise control system allows for "hands-off, feet-off driving" at speeds up to 37 mph, allowing for automated slow traffic situations. The system will drive itself, following the vehicle ahead, braking, accelerating and cornering accordingly. It also worked well when the lead vehicle veers off, leaving the system to follow only the road lines.

I wouldn't want the first generation of this tech, but I do think it's pretty darn cool.
