Hey welcome to the wonderful world of Jeeps. Running the VIN might work, but I'm not to sure about that. If you have ABS you sould get a green ABS dash light to come on for a few seconds when you turn on the Jeep. Hope this helps a little bit and enjoy the new wrangler 8-) [addsig]

ok ill have to look at that another question..whats the best way of cleaning dirt out of the engine bay?? is a pressure washer with soap ok or do i have to do it by hand?[addsig]

just get some engine degreaser, spray the engine bay down with it and hose it off, being careful to avoid important electrical parts(you may want to put bags over these). Not sure about the pressure washer because it will probably blast right through the bags

run the engine for a few mins and than spray it down with engine degreaser.,,even if it is just mud your washing off, degreaser makes the job easy..and yes you can use a pressure washer just make sure not to blast out any plug wires or vacum hoses. :-) :-) [addsig]

On a 2000 TJ I wouldnt even bother with the engine degreaser. I would seriously doubt or at least hope you dont have massive amounts of caked on grease in 3 years. I use to go through my 2000TJ all the time with wet rag. or if you want to get serious use some armorall after that. The engine bay isnt that large.[addsig]
