No really, I feel nearly as happy as bringing home a new baby.
I found a deal on a Hawken black powder percussion rifle that I couldn't pass on.
A guy had to leave town for a new job and needed some cash. I try to buy things from people when they really want to sell them and he needed to.
I am not a muzzle loading hunter, I just like the rifle and I am a real history buff on the period when the fur trade and the mountain men were king.
Sometime in the next week or so I will take it out and pop a cap or two.
I'm too lazy to take a pic and post it so here is a pic of the flint lock model. It looks almost exactly the same.
