Nerf Bars

I have a 06 Rubicon that I just installed nerf bars. The installer has them wide at the front and narrow at the rear by about a 2" difference. Not parallel to the side of the Jeep. He said thats where the bolt holes were pre-drilled in the frame. Shouldn't they be parallel to the frame? If the weather warms up I may take them off and drill new holes.

The frame tapers towards the front, sounds like they were installed backwards, or on the wrong side.

I plan on moving them to the opposite sides this weekend. I believe they put them on backwards. The dealer is Pasadena Trailer and I would think they put nerf bars on regularly.
