Need Driver's Half Door Latch Assy or clips for 1991 Jeeo YJ

1991 Jeep WJ with Half doors
The plastic clips on the driver's door latch are broken and Jeep is telling me I have to order the entire door latch assy, to the tune of $130.00. Does anyone know a way to get just the plastic clips that hold the lock rods in place? Or a Used parts source for the latch?

You're talking about the clips that connect the rods to the interior door handle right? You can the the whole interior handle with clips for $16 shipped:

wrangler half door interior handle | eBay

I bought one for my TJ. It wasn't as nice as the factory (but was definately acceptible). I just used the clips on my factory handle.
