My clock died!!!

The other day I was messing with my radio trying to fix it and the clock died. I had the whole radio out and it was wiggling the wires but nothing happened except a few sparks. Later I noticed the clock died. I checked the fuse and it was ok. what's wrong with the thing??

mine died all of the sudden too. that was one of my favorite things about my jeep. good old anolouge clock. you just dont see clocks like that anymore.
