What is the best moter to swap out of a 1972 cj6 with the 258Ci with a 3 speed and what year moter

This would be nice don't know what's best or easiest but I would probly guess a gm truck 5.7 from 01-06

No. But an AMC 304/360/402 will, just change the motor mounts and maybe a better radiator.

with the AMC 304,360,401 you will only have to change one motor mount, if I remember right it is the driver side and it bolts onto the frame so no welding. you will need to run the fuel line over to the opposite frame rail and thats about it.
