I see that Mopar is selling thr rubi axles (front) with electric lockers
for what I deem ( in my great inexperience) to be fairly cheap.
Would it be possible to use these for a CJ-7?
If not what have you lot done for beefier front ends?
How robust is the original Dana 30? Is it worth beefing up?
e.g. some kind of track lock or soft locker and better axles?

You can make it work in a CJ, you just have to cut off all the brackets you just bought. Then you have to address the wheel lug pattern being different from your rear axle.

If you want d44's, find a pair from a Wagoneer and convert all 4 wheels to 6-lug. You'll be money ahead, and have serviceable hubs, highsteer, lockouts, etc.

Isnt the 44 on the wagoneer wider?
Are the perches in the same place?
If so that sounds way easier, even if I have to convert the fronts to
5 on 5-1/2.
What about upgrading the 30? If that is a serviceable axle? That seems like the path of least resistance.
