Momentary loss of trans?!?

OK so Friday night I went out on one of my usual night rides with some friends. While riding through the new construction sight that the trail(s) open up on my transmission just poped out of gear and I couldn't re-engage it for like 20 sec. When it happend I was going over some really ruff terrain that was all tractor rutted and rocky. I was also going a little bit to fast reflecting back on it. The Jeep finially went back into gear and I was on my way, but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone before. Did I just knock the lingage out of place for a sec or what?

happens to me all the time. not really a big deal for me. i have become accustomed to holding it in gear lately. :lol:

If it won't go back in try put it in another gear first then back to the one you want. That usually works for me.

Body prolly flexed on the frame due to the speed and rough terrain, causing the shifter to move.
