If you get him YJ I would say get a 91 or newer. They have fuel injection which I found out is a real luxury. If he is just going to be cruisin around campus a carb jeep would be fine but if he'll be four wheelin I'd go with the injection. I got a 90 YJ and am happy with it. I go wheeling and drive it daily but right now my carb is messed up and it won't idle. I love my jeep though so I'd say get whatever you want.[addsig]
