Locker Time!

Ever here a bad thing about arb lockers ? Do it once, do it right ARB ....
(ok arb where's my check ?)

Ox lockers are very nice. And I love the fact that is is so simple compaired to the ARB.Cable vs air, cable I think is much more drpendable. There just isnt many replacement parts and units available YET.I love the selectability of ARB's.There is nothing like them. They are just not as easy to fix.But they are dependable IF they are instaled by a proffessional.

If you haven't then you aren't listening. ARB's are strong...no question about that. The bad thing is that you have to be able to maintain an air source and th plumbing required to operate it. Then you have the guy who always has to be reminded that his air locker isn't engaged.
The other bad thing is the expense. You could lock and re-gear both axles for what one ARB costs.
Bottom line is that Lock Rights and other lunch box lockers are affordable, reliable and virtually idiot proof (insert disclaimer here).

Hey, Jeeps can corner too!!!!!
Well, maybe not.....but it's fun tryin.

This maybe a stupid question, but...

For a daily driver, what are the downsides of putting the lock right lunchbox locker in both the front and the rear? I've heard the issues with cornering, and yes with a driver you do sometimes need to, but "Pops" and "Bangs" and noises and such.

Would I be prone to any kind of damage? I was looking to lock up the rear by the end of the month... but now I'm thinking both. What's your take?

With a posi lock in the front it is selectable, so welding and doing a posi lock is IMO the best way to go up front.

I've heard that the lunchbox lockers can get scary on the highway. If a selectable is not affordable for someone who is worried about hard cornering and highway characteristics, maybe a limited-slip would be another alternative.

If I had to choose between doing just the front or rear, I'd do the rear. You would have to use 4wd less that way and my XJ is a little squirrelly in the rain with an open diff back there
