And no they aren't zits:flipoff2: I noticed this when I got home from getting my hair cut around four o'clock. First on my stomach, then my back. Activities in the past 24 hours are:
-Surfing from 10-4 in the OBX
-Hung out with my buddy while he closed at the hookah bar he works at
-Went to church this morning (first time in a couple years)
-Came home, went RC crawlin with my buddy down near the river

Haven't changed any showering habits or anything funny like that... Anyway, pics.

:agree:

Major difference is that hives generally itch terribly, where shingles usually hurt/burn. However, shingles usually will only affect one side of the body or the other. Don't exactly know why, just what my doc told me when I had them. Shingles are related to chicken pox, but are actually a strain of Herpes. If the rash is still there Tuesday morning, see a doctor. If it's shingles, the sooner you're on an antiherpetic the better. He'll also most likely put you on a pain killer, as they can be excrutiatingly painful. They can last anywhere from a week to a year, with most cases lasting 3 to 6 months. Post-herpetic neuralgia can last several years.

If they are hives, there are a myriad of possible causes. Often there is no cause found, and are treated symptomatically, i.e., cortizone and benadryl. They typically last 24 to 72 hours and may never recur again in most people.

we're better than web MD!

Of course you know now, that if we have mis-diognosed him and he dies, his GF will look us all up and sue is for malpractice!:D

Looks like an inflammatory response to an allergen of some sort. What are the symptoms? Do they itch, burn, etc?

The others are right, probably hives, does look like the beginnings of shngles. It also could be scabies, although highly unlikely.

I'm thinking hives. What about your laundry? Have you changed detergents or fabric softeners. Bounce makes me hive up and the trunk of my body looks just like yours.

If they don't itch then it's a good chance it's shingles. get to a doctor.

If they itch/burn then maybe hives... benedryl

I really am that skinny, it's just the camera angle. Anyway, went to the doctor, she told me it was probably just something from contact. Possibly mildew inmy wetsuit from last time I washed it out or something. She gave me some steroids. it doesn't itch or anything, no burning, etc. It has started to go down.

Glad to hear!;)

Good to hear. I figured it was an allergic reaction.

I get that stuff anytime I wrap my skin with saran, it's just a po'd skin hive/heat rash thingy. Probably is the wetsuit; or it could be something from your dirty hippie friend, or church related guilt hives. Just to cover all the bases I'd suggest the steroid cream, sanitize your wetsuit and your friend, and go to church more often.
