Leaking Transmission Fluid

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty with 90,000 miles. New to this sight but I have a slow transmission fluid leak comping from the pan, I've read on here it's dangerous chaniging trans fluid for first time at this mileage wondering what options are.

Do you mean dangerous to you, or to your vehicle?

I have no experience with a Liberty, but here's my experience with a Wrangler

I'd imagine that changing it would be better than not, especially if you have a leak coming from the pan.
