I own a WJ 4.7L and am craving some more power. Was thinking about the subject line combo. Anyone have experience with these? Best and cheapest way to get 25+ more horsies out her?[addsig]

Are you planning on adding headers with your exhaust up-grade. Ihave been thinking about that....I havent heard anyone talk about it on a 4.7L[addsig]

Probably not as serious in the mud as many of the Jeepers out here, but I didn't buy mine to hang out on the pavement all day. It's seen its fair share of playing off the beaten path. I've owned high performance 2 wheel drivers til now and am missing some of the street performance. Don't get me wrong, that V8 can move, but I'm always looking for the edge. All that said -- I love my Jeep![addsig]

In terms of headers, I've looked at it, but I thought I'd start with the intake and exhaust and see what it gets me.[addsig]

Well if you are going to pull your exhaust apart anyways to put new pipes on you might as well add headers. If you think you want them at all that is the time to do it. [addsig]

That sounds like good advice on the headers. Might as well do it all! I'll let you guys know how it all turns out. Thanks![addsig]

I have looked into putting the jet chip on my Tj ... They warned me that in order to go with a stage two you need the free flowing exhaust/intake AND a 180 degree thermostat. Without the thermostat they said you should go with a stage 1. Not sure if i believe them, but that is what jet told me. [addsig]

Jet chips pretty much just advance the timing and adjust the air fuel ratio. Stage one adjusts it slightly, stage two adjusts it more. Performance will be more greatly increased with stage 2, but ONLY IF you provide optimal conditions (which Jet insists are free flowing exhaust/intake AND 180 thermostat AND 93 octane) They say that if you dont provide all of this, the engine will ping and therefore not provide ANY increase, so stage 1 would be a better choice (running 89 octane) .. I dont know what to make of it.. Not too many people have them so it's tough to ask around[addsig]
