I have a 1990 Grand Wagoneer that has a 2" lift, with BF Goodrich 32x11.5x15 , Rancho RS 5000 Shocks. This beast rides like an old sherman tank. This would be allright if all I used it for was off roading. But this is my every day driver. Ant suggestions on how to keep this Jeep tough, but a more gentle ride.[addsig]

What kind of lift is under the wagon? Some do ride better than others! tug[addsig]

Deffinetly. I had the Rancho 5000 shocks on mine when I first bought it. Even going to a 3000 Pro Comp made a huge differance. the ride was a lot softer even with e 4" lift.[addsig]

I'm surprised that you guys think that the RS5000's are a really rough riding shock. Though the are stiffer than stock, I don't think that they are that bad. I have them on my 96 cherokee and the ride is actually quite comfertable. I had some gabrial gas truck shocks on it before that, and they we a much harsher ride than the rancho's are.[addsig]

I'm surprised somebody said the ProCrap Explorer 3000 shock rides better than the Rancho 5000, they are both very similar harsh riding gas-charged shocks. We got rid of the ES3000 on our XJ in favor of smooooooooooooooth riding Doetsch-Tech 3000's, hydraulic shocks :-D [addsig]
