I have been wrestling with this for a few months now and I have given up trying to figure out on my own! why is it that when i drive my jeep for any amount of time, park it, go to start it again its flooded. i have the 4.2 with a weber carb. i have adjusted the mixture a hundred times. played with the timing. installed a fuel pressure reg. still no luck. could it be a faulty ignition? also ever since i put the weber in every time i really punch the gas it sputters and backfires. whats up? somebody please help!!! :-? many times, its kinda like its just not burning all the fuel. no power, and cold starts are terrible.[addsig]

first thing i'd do is put a timing light on it. then check the choke to be sure that its opening. i'm not sure what kind of choke the weber has, but it may be sticking

just for the heck of it.....are you sure its flooded? if it is, it could be that the float level needs adjusting.. also, have you checked the fuel filter? try running some cleaner through it? (carb cleaner)[addsig]
