J20 Steering

Hi.
I am attempting to upgrade the steering on a 1981 J20 which is used mainly for on road purposes. The Jeep is running 33 x 12.5 tyres and what I am trying to achieve is a responsive system with no play and the least amount of effort possible lock to lock. I've tracked down the parts from the steering wheel all the way down to the steering box which I was looking at upgrading to a PSC Variable Ratio Steering Box but have come across a hurdle. My truck is Right Hand Drive. After contacting the guys at PSC they say they have a small piston model available which is used on postal vans but my worry there would be whether it could handle the bigger tyres. Any suggestions on what solutions may be available to jump this hurdle and move on towards the pump. Advice will be most appreciated.
