Inffinty amp

ok im replacing the head unit in my 2000 grnad cherokee, i hooked everthing up and i get no sound, so i figure its because of the amp, is there a way to bypass it or get my new one to use it, im useing a DEH-P2000 thanks

Might have to head up to a dealer or a sound shop. In my mom's car if the original headunit is taken out without the dealer doing something the original is useless and another can't be put in. She has a 2005 accord though so i don't know when they started putting antitheft stuff like that into cars.
