I can't see re-connecting my swaybar...

I unbolted my sway bar links today, and had the best flex offroad! I was shocked at how well my suspension flexed. The funny thing is, I really didn't notice any on pavement loss of handling or maneuverability, except for the incredibly improved ride!!! Even though I know this subject has been touched on before, I was wondering if there is any downside to removing them permanently???

I also have found the limitations of the all-terrain tires versus the mud terrain. My AT's did great, but I did get stuck twice in the mud with deep ruts. I probably could've made it through both times if I had approached the runs differently, but I don't think it would have even been an issue if I had gone with the MT's instead.

The only down side is well "sway". If you are going along and have to swerve suddenly you will notice alot of body roll and can even help you to loose control and or even flip. But you have to admit it is nice to get em off in the wood huh! I think bang for the buck it is the best off raod mod going stock or lifted. tug

drivline vibe, but why with a tiny lift?

You won't notice a difference in everyday driving unless you have to swerve quickly to get out of the way of something or to avoid an accident. You could lose control easier than you would with the links connected and the possibility of flipping over is greater. As for the mud terrain tires, I know other Jeepers with the same exact set up I have but have all terrain tires. I can usually make it through some sloppier stuff than they can because my tires clean off and theirs gums up. I just suffer a little more on the highway because they are louder, but it's worth it.

do yourself a favor, buy 2 7/16x2.5" hitch pins, 4 3.8" washers, and 2 clips.. instant sway bar disconnects... now you can have them hoooked up on the highway for safety and unhooked for flex offroad

leaving them unhooked could cause you to roll in a hard turn.

i just pulled the lower link off the stud... takes a little elbow grease to get it on and off... but i can unthread the nut and pop them back on when i hit the highways... i never feel threatened enough to have to though
